Here are some selection tips to consider before listing your home with just any real estate agent. Look for real estate signs in your area and find out who is actvely marketing your neighborhood. Type in the agents name into google and see if they rank high in google's opinion. Read any relative articles about or by the agent. Considerations During Your Interviews:
- What is the agent's reputation and experience in your local area?
- Is the affiliated real estate company reputable?
- Is the Agent full-time or part-time?
- How many transactions has the agent completed in the past 12 months?
- Ask for references and call them to make sure they are valid.
- Compare marketing plans for selling your home.
- Compare suggested listing prices and ask how they were calculated.
- Compare the commission rate of each agent to the service they will provide.
- Compare the length of the required listing agreement periods.
- Will the agent have time to focus on your listing?
- Will th agent's communication style work with yours?
